SCAT: An Ode to the Bright Eyed and Bushy Tailed
By Madeline 'Mo' Oslejsek and Chania Hudson
Astral Ground Productions
A day like any other.
A promise to get home before the streetlamps come on.
A young woman forced into the known unknown.
With every footstep and tick of the clock, she grapples with the harsh reality of being taken, her existence reduced to whispers lost in the night that no one may ever hear.
Through the discordant melodies of jazz and aural visions, the audience hears what she hears: a symphony of experience muffled by the cacophony of indifference. As these noises ricochet from mind to mind, they gather meaning to become sound, to become music… to become the truth.
SCAT: An Ode to the Bright Eyed and Bushy Tailed is a poignant testament to the resilience of the unseen and unheard, the enduring strength of those ignored by society's gaze. As the night unfolds, a young woman's journey reminds us that even in darkness, echoes will resonate with the power to ignite change.
